Standard appointments are available in person at my Baldivis (WA) location or via telehealth to anyone based in Australia.
Therapy appointments are for anyone wanting space to work through any issues or challenges they might be facing. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, big life transitions, or patterns you’re ready to understand and change.
Everyone is unique, so your sessions will be too. Some sessions may involve seep conversation and reflection; others may include practical tools you can use in daily life. What stays consistent is that I will work collaboratively with you to meet you where you are, with zero. judgement and genuine curiosity. My goal is always to help you to feel heard whilst gently challenging you to grow towards the version of you that you want to be.
If it’s your first time meeting with me, the first session is where I try to get an understanding of what has brought you to me, what’s been going on, and what you’re hoping to take away from our sessions (if you have particular goals in mind - not everyone does, which is fine). If we get time, I’ll want to start hearing about your background to help me understand you better. Before this appointment, you’ll receive some intake forms to complete which need to be returned to me 48 hours before - this gives me enough time to check I have everything I need before we dive in. First sessions can be a little daunting, especially because you don’t know me, so we take it at your pace.
Follow up appointments usually look like a bit more history taking, working toward your goals, debriefing what has been going on for you - or a bit of all three. I have clients that enjoy more structure to their sessions, but I make a point to never push an agenda and let you show up with what’s important to you at the time.
Therapy FAQs
I can’t find any available appointments, what should I do?
I will be launching services in September 2026, so if you’re trying to book in before then this could be why. Once bookings are live, seeing no availability could be for one of two reasons - either I’m currently closed to new clients, or I’m booked out for the days or times that you’re looking for. In either case, please reach out to me via email and I can have a look. For new clients, if you’re wanting to work with me and happy to wait, I keep a waitlist and can reach out to you when I have availability to take you on.
I need support before September, what should I do?
If you're struggling right now and feel you need support sooner, please don't wait. Your GP is a great first point of contact and can refer you to support in the meantime. If you're in crisis, please see the support contacts at the bottom of this page.
I have a Mental Health Care Plan and referral from the GP, what does this mean?
Each calendar year, all Medicare card holders are eligible for 10 rebated sessions through a GP Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). To book an appointment with me, you will need to pay the full $225 and after our session, I notify Medicare to process your rebate. The current Medicare rebate for psychology sessions is $98.95, meaning you will be out-of-pocket $126.05.
I have private health insurance, will this cover my sessions with you?
You will need to check your individual cover as this tends to vary. Like Medicare, your insurance will provide you with a rebate for your sessions and there will likely be an out-of-pocket fee.
I have NDIS funding for psychology, can I book in with you?
Unfortunately, I am not taking on NDIS funded clients.
I have a referral from my GP through DVA , can I book in with you?
Yes - please reach out to me via email to help you book in under the correct option to ensure your onboarding is in line with this referral type.
How many appointments should I book?
I understand that for new clients you might want to get that first appointment out of the way to make sure we are a good fit. However, due to my limited availability I would encourage you to book a few appointments to start with if consistency is important to you. We can always cancel them if things don’t work out. When only booking one appointment at a time, there is a risk that my diary could fill up for 2-3 in advance and mean that you are waiting longer than expected. If this does happen, I can place you on my cancellation list and notify you of any earlier appointments that may come up.
How often do I need to see you?
Well, that’s up to you. I understand that sessions with a psychologist are a significant financial commitment for most people and the last thing I would want is for this to become another stressor for you. In the beginning, it’s great if we can catch up every two weeks to keep momentum going and then drop back in how often we catch up once things are feeling more manageable. In saying that, if you’re only able to come once a month or more, that’s fine with me as long as you understand that progress may be a little slower this way. But slow progress is still progress!
